| I went to this gun shop by my house to see if they had any AR-15's in stock... I told the man I was still waiting for my "permit to purchase" to come in the mail (just applied last tuesday, they said 2 weeks it would take). Well the man told me I didn't need a permit to get a post-ban ar-15, it was only needed for pre-ban (he said the post-ban were classified as a targer rifle or something)... Then about 4-5 days later I went to this other place and that guy told me you needed a permit to but a post-ban because it's an "assult rifle". I've looked all over the place for the local laws but was unable to find any. I'll be getting the permit soon anyways (not even a speeding ticket) but I still wanna know which person (who represents the shop) was right? BTW I live in Minnesota. |

Quoted: Did you post this question in the MN Hometown forums? You should be able to get a straight answer from fellow members in MN. http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=8&f=28 Oh, and welcome to the site! [beer] I'll check that forum, thanks :) I've been wanting to get an AR-15 for a long ass time! I registered this account a year ago, lurking and reading. But I kept buying guns when I got money (new pistol, 30-30, new shotgun etc...) and now I have a dedicated ar-15 only fund which is now more then I even need. |
