Recently picked up a Aimpoint on EE, properly packaged etc...Just that the control knob is on the LEFT side of the scope...Does Aimpoint make a site with control knob on the left side?

There is nothing "wrong" with the way your sight is mounted.  The Aimpoints (except the M4 and T1) can be mounted either way; it's a personal preference whether to put the brightness adjustment on the port or starboard side.  People that mount the sight with the brightness adjustment on the port side usually do so to be able to keep the firing hand on the grip while making adjustments (and the "Aimpont" lettering will still be oriented upright on the starboard side.)

Most wrong handed (joking Left handers) shooters like to rotate CompM2 and CompM3 sights so that battery box is on the left side so that it doesn't block the periphial vision of their right eye.
