So I need to build a Left handed rifle for the GF.  Was hoping that the CMMG Revolution Modular Upper would be available but there is still no word on a release date.

Stag makes a left handed upper so I can get that but I have a dumb question.

Why does the ejection port door flip up on a left handed upper?

So s Stag could use the same ejection port door used on every other AR 15 type.

I understand that it is the same door, but why flip up?  A stag right hand upper door flips down.

I don;t see a reason why it couldn't flip down?  Unless the bolt catch is in the way....

Don't think of it as up/down, look at it as clockwise/counter-clockwise. If it opens "up" (or clockwise) on a left-hand receiver its the same spring and door as on a right-hand receiver.

Yes I have done one and yes it flips up and you have to make sure you buy the bolt and carrier from them.....

Yep it was done to allow the gun to use more of the same parts.

Anyway OP a stag upper is a good choice. For that lower you have a few choices in ambi parts.
