Got 6 hours notice to pack my bags and catch a flight for Balad. What a shit hole. Pilot does a combat landing in the C-130 to prevent getting hit with a missle and I thought I was going to crap my pants. I didn't think a C-130 could bank like that. Caught a ride for Tikrit the next day. 5 minutes after I make it to Saddams palace in Tikrit, a mortar lands 100 yards from where I'm standing. Spent the night in Tikrit and caught another convoy the next day to Bayji. First day there, I here gunshots while checking the perimeter wire. Damn, I've only been here 2 days. This is going to be a long year. Combat_Diver, I'm at Lancer right now. I'll stop by and chat at your guys here. I found 2 MP44 rounds here yesterday. No gun yet but I'm looking. I tried the number you gave me but it said it was no longer working? Got another number? |
