A friend of mine would like to build a lefty AR. I have put one together before but never fooled with the lefty stuff.
What are the different parts that he would need to get that would be different than the standard AR. I have seen the left handed lowers and uppers, but will there be any other parts that need to be different. Thanks for any help |

He needs a lefty BCG, lefty upper, and a barrel w/ an ambi barrel extension.
I have 2 lefty uppers I assembled, one in 5.56 and one in 6.8. Your friend can get lefty uppers and BCGs from Stag. He'll have several options w/ barrels- with my 5.56 i used a stag m4 type barrel, while my 6.8 a WOA 18" SS barrel. If I could do it over I'd keep my 6.8 as is but pick up a quality right-handed 5.56 or 6.8 upper instead of my 5.56 stag. Not a knock to stag, just in terms of being able to swap parts w/ my righty builds it would be better. |
