I have a question on a face to face transfer. If I live in MN and seller lives in WI, is it legal for me to meet him in WI and buy the AR? Or am I looking for trouble? Please advise ASAP! Thanks, Brad |

You can agree to meet him at some WI FFL dealers shop and he can have the FFL log it in from him and you can buy the rifle from the FFL, you will have to do the NICS check and hopefully will approve with no delays so you can take the rifle home. Or he can ship it to your FFL dealer. |

Or he can ship it to your FFL dealer. That only works if he can buy firearms from out of state. The great state of Utah that I live in forbids a resident from personally purchasing a firearm out of state and transporting it across state lines. It must be transferred to an FFL, whether it be rifle or pistol. |

Monday I am UPS'ing a copy of the FFL and the certifed check to the seller. I hope to have the AR by next Friday. I am so glad my wife asked if it was legal to go to WI and do the face to face. I never would have thought of it. I'm glad that I sidestepped this pot hole! Brad |
