I am going to mount a G2 to regular handguards without a VFG. I need the switch accessable to my thumb. Probably in the 9:00 position. I was was thinking of doing it like this: groups.msn.com/TheMarylandAR15ShootersSite/makeaflashlightmount.msnw Any other ideas or options? I am trying to go simple and cheap. |

That's about as basic as it gets. You could also go with a barrel mounted light with a pressure switch running back to the handguards. These are pics of my first DIY light mount, you might get some of your own ideas from looking at them. The idea was to mount the light at 9 o'clock and not damage the Colt M4 HG's by drilling holes in them.
