I'm looking for a lighter more compact upper that will still stand an excellent chance of holding abiout 1 moa.  Will a light wieght profile likely get 1 moa if you stick to 5 or 10 shot strings?  Does anyone make a fluted midwieght?  I'm loking for a free-floated 16 inch barrel that will retain accuracy, yet remain light enough to be a good starter for the kids in a few years.  Thank you to anyone with some experience or tips to share.

I have a 16"m4 upper w/ ff handguard from J&T that with my handloads at 100yards will shoot quarter size groups all day long.  My load is 60gr vmax and 26.5gr varget with CCI br primers

I also have a lightweight barreled carbine that's an MOA shooter.
The specifics are:
Non-chromed bore.
Free float tube.
Match trigger (make it easier to shoot well)
GOOD ammo . (handloads)

With the same ammo my match rifle shoots under 1/2" but I need a rest to tell the difference, or a supported prone position.
Other than long range prairie dog shooting, I can't say my match rifle has much (if any) real advantage over my carbine.
