i will have to pin it in place being that im in NJ..

ive been reading off and on all day.. at first i thought the Vltor Emod looked decent but then i read it was heavy..

So what would you guys recommend.. (mil spec tube)

Thanks..

My CTR with the thin rubber buttpad weighs 9 ounces.

I'd skip trying to pin a telestock and just get a Sully stock.  High quality and balances a carbine perfectly.

i considered that as well but im just not %100 sure thats the ideal LOP for me.. so i want something i can really tailor to what feels perfect..

Get a Magpul MOE since it has to be pinned in place. They are light and look cool.

The vltor modstock is nice, it has a good cheekweld battery storage and it has about the shortest LOP you are going to get.

Sully stocks weigh a ton

the Magpul Moe stock will probably be your lightest option

The CTR is a good compromise of lightweight, function, and stability.

+2 on the Magpul Moe, you'll love it!  The CTR is a waste if it has to be pinned because that defeats the friction lock that you pay extra for on the CTR.

I love the way mine feels and just ordered another one for my Recce build, they are light and the tightest fitting stocks I've seen yet (at least the Mil-Spec ones).

Sully stocks weigh a ton

But they balance a carbine perfectly and will make it seem less nose heavy.

Here are the weights of my stocks that I use.

LMT M4 stock with rubber buttpad: 9.8 oz (6.4 oz without buttpad)

Magpul MOE with thin rubber buttpad: 8 oz

Magpul CTR with thin rubber buttpad: 9 oz

Vltor Carbine Modstock with rubber buttpad: 11.5 oz

Vltor Clubfoot Modstock with rubber buttpad: 11.7 oz

Vltor EMOD with rubber buttpad: 14 oz

+3 on the MOE, CTR only offers you a QD swivel for $45. I like my MOE on my Recce but the Gen2 M4 stock works just fine for me on my lightweight LMT 14.5"

If an e-mod is "TOO  HEAVY" then a Sully is way too heavy

I've got a MOE... It's awesome.
But, for a fixed stock, I would just get an A1 or an A2...

the sully stock is definitely nice looking but if its heavier i definitely don't want that... im leaning towards the Vltor carbine stock...

You talking about the CAA CBS?  There are definitely lighter options out there.

want to keep it black like the rest of it...

ok this is going to sound NUTS.. but i put an arfx-e on for my g/f because its SO short.. and i thought it would be god awful that short...  but put about 100 rounds through it tonight.. and honestly it was NOT that bad at all.. i think im going to pick up the 1inch butt pad to replace the 1/2 inch one.. and see if it make it even better..

Nothing wrong with the ARFX, I have one on my SIG 556.
I'd rather have a stock a little too short than too long.
You can always adjust to the shorter stock.
