Ok,  I need some advise on a light for a new M4 build.  I want something that is light and not overly expensive.  The M4 I built has a 14.5" barrel with a permanently attached phantom FH, has M4 handguards with a bushmaster BMAS rail underneath with a Tango Down vertical foregrip.  I'd like to attach a RRA side sling mount to the FSB.

Where should I attach a light? What light mount? and what light?

I was thinking of a Insight M3 light mounted on the handguard rail with the pressure switch for the TD grip, What do you think?

Any suggestions and Ideas are appreciated!

surefire , 3 o'clock.

i run a classic 9p, tape switch, 1 " weaver mount to my mrp and surefire beam cover. in case od a.l.d.
td vfg.
no shock bezzel of anykind. 9p runs fine, never had to replace a bulb or anything. the 9p classic is a freaking tank.
anything surefire  above 110 lumens or someting like that!basically ya want to temporarily blind the zombie, give you that extra second before he can get to ya and eat you alive.  surefire also has killer customer service!!!!!!!!

The first thing is how much would you like to spend?

A bare bones weapon light is a $20 Brinkmann Maxfire LX, in walmart 1" scope rings.

We only go up from there....

have a good one.

I was looking to spend up to $200 maybe $250.  Thats why I thought the Insight M3 and the pressure switch for it.  I was unsure if I should mount it on the BMAS rail on the handguard or get the FSB mount for it.

Any ideas?

For 250.00 you could get  SF 951MX6.Mount is Thumb Screw,Newest switch with off/on button and pressure pad w/6inch wire(or whatever length you need) 60 lumen -1hr    120 lumen-20 minutes(BRIGHT)!! M3 is ok but I would stay with SF.  YMMV
