On your 16 inch carbines where do you all place your lights?    I have a DD 7"

rail...a Tango Down VFG right in the middle 6 o'clock between b25 and b19..Why

do you put your lights where you do?...Right now all I have is the light with a pressure

switch in the VFG...I want an eotech on top of the rifle and want a laser device at the

12 o'clock posistion on the forend. I wanted to know about the lights because I'm

about to decide and cut my rail covers accordingly. Thanks

Might find better replies in the Lights and Lasers area, but generally righty shooters put it on the left side of the gun so they can use it with their off hand.

I would think that for a RH shooter, that a VG with an offset mount for the light on the RH side of the gun would be the way to go. So you could work the cap on the back of the light with your LH thumb....but thas just me .

I take it this ia a flatop, while I would disagree with your choice of a Laser and an EOTech, (unless its a NV type), I put my light on the right with a angle mount so I can hit the button with my thumb.  I recently got a cheap tape switch off e-bay for $15 and moved the light to the 3 oclock.

Works for me with a remote or using the tailcap pressure switch.

I think "work's for me" IS the right answer.  I just had to fool around until I found it (for me).

I have mine on the left hand side because I have a click on/off tailcap on the G2 with no foregrip so its easier to engage with my thumb that way.  I had to mess with it some because i was worried it would get in the way of my sling but no such problem on the left side.  But like other said this is what I found to work, especially not having the vertical foregrip.  So just try it out to see what works best and go with it.
