Planning a super light weight build and need to know the all around lightest upper options.



Right now I had figured the Midwest Carbine SS to be the lightest freefloat design.



The other thing I've got to decide is if a integral gasblock front site or a rail mounted site like the mbus would be lighter.

A while ago it was the DD M4 Rail that was the lightest. I can't say with certainty that that's still the case as of today but it gives you a basis with which to start your own search.

The data I have came from this spreadsheet, the SS beats the M4 by .8oz
