I have standard handguards on my Entry Tactical, and I really cant afford to buy any of the new rail systems.  Are there any options for a lighting system using the standard handguards.  I have seen the built-in lights on some handguards, but I'm not sure I can afford those either.  Any suggestions????
Thanks, from a noob!
(Ay pics would be awesome)

First off you realize this is the wrong forum right?  Lights & Lasers is one forum up.

Anyway.  You have several options:
1) A FSB mounted rail (they are inexpensive) several companies make these (GG&G, YHM etc).
2) an add-on rail for the 6:00 position (or with a drill at any position you choose).
3) Bushmaster has a snap on light mount that puts a short rail at either the 3:00 or 9:00 position
4) there is a velcro strap (meant to be used with a G2Z type light) that will wrap around your handguards.

Pleny of options, talk with some of the guys & vendors in the Lights area and I'm sure they can come up with photos of these and other options.

For what it's worth for standard handguards I like mounting the TDI rail at the 10:00 position (just over the edge of the top handguard on the left side).  It allows me to positiont the light so I can activate the button with my thumb using a standard rifle hold OR I can slide the light back and still activate it with my thumb if I have my hand wrapped around the magazine well (aka improved VFG).
