Working in a lightweight build and for the first time building more than just the lower.

I picked up an ODIN works barrel from aim a month or so ago and plan to use a Clark Custom cf hand guard. The only issue with the hand guard is once it is in place you cannot remove it, unless you plan ahead. With this in mind I was thinking about getting an adjustable gas block and drill the handgaurd to be able to adjust and remove gas block if needed/wanted. However, I have no idea what to get. The armalite adj block is under 70 where the jp is 120. The gas block that came with the barrel has set screws that go into the bottom of the barrel. The armalite block has the same. Any reasons to pay more for a clamp on style? Would require more hole drilling in the handgaurd as well as more money out of pocket.

Thanks for your help in advance.

First thing to consider is what gas blocks will fit inside the hand guard.

second thing to consider is what length gas system are you running and what length hand guard are you running.

I have an SLR adjustable gas block and it adjusts from the front end. I have a mid length barrel and a 9" rail so the front adjustment screw is easily accessible. BTW the SLR gas block is sweet
