Hey guys I need some help.  I am a LEO on a budget and I am looking for a very lite upper.  Pencil barrel , folding front sight or rail, forearm able to attach light but not a huge metal full of rails forearm, folding rear sight. In 223.

Does anyone have any suggestions on who makes the this in the less expensive category?

Thanks

Todd

Check the EE bro or build your own. Usually building will be cheaper if you buy the used serviceable components on the EE or GB and assemble at your own pace.

Hello fellow LEO, I suggest you get a lightwieght barrel on sale from JohnnyUSA. I also suggest the midlength melonited 16" (or 18")  barrel if you can. Use a Magpul midlength MOE handguard which you can pick used up from the EE and also look for a FSB or gas block (your preference) on the EE. That decision depends much on your choice of an upper (also get off the EE). If you want a KISS cruiser rifle or truck gun a nice A1 upper and a standard  FSB work great. If you want optics or a red dor look for a flattop upper and a railed gas block or one with a folding front sight. I have a setup just like this and it is great, very light and accurate.. Also, by watching the EE and buying the barrel on sale and waiting fior good prices on the other parts you can really keep the price down. If you need any help with any of it or even with the assembly just contact me...stay safe....<><....:)
