| Is there anywhere on the rifle where you will need the use of some locktite?? Also which do you guys use or prefer. I receive the handguard most likely saturday or monday which is my last missing part so i can have it cerakoted. After that the building begins. So i need to know this part lol |
| I wouldn't say you NEED it. But people will use it on threads, heck just about anywhere really. I would not recommend it on your buffer tube or castle nut threads. Just stake it. you could apply it to your grip screw, gas block screws, handguard screws. SOME people use it where the barrel extension slides into the upper. Supposedly it adds to accuracy. I just used aeroshell there as well as on the barrel nut threads... |

not necessary with the exception of a clamp on gas block Which Loctite for a clamp on gas block? I used blue, but I wasn't running it very hard. If I was doing mag dumps or building and sbr, I might use red just to make sure the heat wasn't a problem. Blue will let go at about 350 iirc. |
