I just replaced the standard ff tube on my DPMS AP4 LR308 with their ff 4-rail. Is it a good/bad idea to blue loctite the handguard/locking ring to the barrel nut, and also apply it to the gas block screws? It looks like both HGs were loctited or something at DPMS. I'm assuming it's not advisable to loctite the barrel nut, but I acquired the HG from someone that had the nut come loose from the barrel. I guess it wasn't torqued enough? I put 45-50 ft lbs on it this time...hope it's enough.
