I already have a KISS AR and I just picked up a Spike's pirate lower. After thinking about what I want to do with it, I've decided that I want to build it into a scoped precision shooter. My budget for the upper tops at around $1000, not including optics.

So what uppers are recommended in this price class? I'm also OK with buying a stripped upper and a barrel and building it.
