I've been thinking about one of the Mueller Tactical scopes but haven't had a chance to see one in person. www.swfa.com/c-1507-mueller-tactical-riflescopes.aspx |

Leapers is junk as often as not. Avoid them. Mueller's better - they're good, but not great scopes. Many Mueller scopes' illumination (including the one you linked) is low-light, not daylight - the illumination's only visible in low light, and is not very bright. My 4-16x50 Sport Dot gets dark with really finicky eye relief at the higher magnifications, so I rarely use it over 10x. I probably wouldn't buy another Mueller if this one went away. If you don't mind a 4x top end, the Millett DMS-1 is a great scope for around $200. I've got a bunch of scopes (Leupold, Mueller, Burris, and more), and the DMS-1 is one of my favorite fun scopes right now. The illumination's visible in a lot brighter light than the Mueller, but still washes out in broad daylight. I've been enjoying mine a lot. |
