Buy once, buy a Leupold,,,you will still own it years after all the other crap out there!

We own rifle with Leupold's. Little out of the price range right now. Just want something with illuminated recitals in the $300 dolar range. I know it limits what i want.

I've been kickin' around possibly buying the Burris Fullfield II with the Lighted Ballistic Plex reticle. Any thoughts. Arcadian Sales (Google it) has the best prices anywhere I've seen on any  scopes. You can get more for your money there.

I've been thinking about one of the Mueller Tactical scopes but haven't had a chance to see one in person.

Leapers is junk as often as not.  Avoid them.  Mueller's better - they're good, but not great scopes.  Many Mueller scopes' illumination (including the one you linked) is low-light, not daylight - the illumination's only visible in low light, and is not very bright.  My 4-16x50 Sport Dot gets dark with really finicky eye relief at the higher magnifications, so I rarely use it over 10x.  I probably wouldn't buy another Mueller if this one went away.

If you don't mind a 4x top end, the Millett DMS-1 is a great scope for around $200.  I've got a bunch of scopes (Leupold, Mueller, Burris, and more), and the DMS-1 is one of my favorite fun scopes right now.  The illumination's visible in a lot brighter light than the Mueller, but still washes out in broad daylight.  I've been enjoying mine a lot.

Go with the burris. They have excellent glass, and are tough as nails. My SPR and all my hunting rifles wear burris and I've never had a failure. They work great in the cold up here, something that can't be said for a lot of other brands.

Definitely Burris over Simmons.  No question about it.
