Hi, I tried the search option but nothing came up for  some reason.  I have a 20 inch barrel fixed front site, I have the removable carry handle and have a cheap scope mounted up there now.  It works okay but, I just bought a leupold and I am thinking of trying something else.  I want to be able to quickly go back and forth from iron sites if needed.  I want to mount the new scope on the flat top,but I want it to stay attacked to the rail when I remove it to put the carry handle on.  I seen a weave mount that has the same big screws(type) as my carry handle, but I am not sure if it is high enough to clear the hand guards.  The mounts I have now are weaver tactical high but hold up to 44mm.  My Leupold 3 8.5x25x50 will need to sit higher I think.  I have a check weld pad and I can still use it on the top rail too.  I just not sure it I am limiting myself mounted up that high or not.  Either way I want to try something new, the scope reticle is the target/varmint model.  I am a bit concerned about the front post getting in the way.  Any suggestions thx Robert

You might find what you're after here.    Or not.

Get a larue LT-104 or a Quality quick release mount FROM LARUE. That way you can take your optic off and still have it zeroed when it goes back on. Get a BUIS to go on the back portion of the rail. You could use a Burris PEPR but one you take it off you will have to re zero once it goes back on.

EDIT: Spelling
Hope this helps,

Scott

Never had an issue with my PEPR holding zero after I remove it. They aren't great wether or not it holds zero, it's put metal. I do think the QUALITY of the ADM Recon is the way to go though... Or Larue, Bobro, GG&G.

+1 for Larue's mounts.  All his products are top notch, and you won't be disappointed. True they cost some $$$, but you only have to buy once.

I ordered the Larue mount, They said that my fixed front site shouldn't interfere with my scope when looking through it.  I hope they are correct, i want to use it for shooting squirrels and other small critters lol.  Any ideas thx

On my 1-4x, it's blurry on 1x and gone by 3. You won't see anything.
