[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Looking for a specific prebuilt upper

I've been looking everywhere for a complete AR-15 upper with the following:

flat top receiver
16" midlength
Smooth free float tube drilled for a bipod preferred
low profile or equivalent gas block

CMMG makes an 18" upper like it....but it's a bull barrel and not really wanting a bull barrel.

I would take an 18" if I could even find that.

I have my AR setup the way I like it for day to day use......but I'd like an upper for 2-300 yards targetr shooting.

Not looking to put one together but may not have a choice.

did you try bushmaster? ... also you can order the barrel with gas block already assembled from RRA or something and just put on the smooth free float tube yourself, that way you get what you want without having to put together the gas assembly. also try EE

AR Performance will build you an upper just like that. Personally, I like the Midwest Industries 9" SS model handguard, with a low pro gas block in front. Light weight, sturdy and feels good in the hand. - CW

I sent an email to CMMG and they said they had no problem building the upper.....the only thing is if I wanted a muzzle brake I'd have to send them one to mount or order with no flash hider.

If they can keep the price reasonable I'll be ordering it.
