They are not to bad at all. Good pricing on them and they work very well. Makers like Aimpoint and EOTech is what I run on my rifle and I love them. I always recommend them to people looking into red dot optics.
The Vortex Strikefire is good and a lot cheaper alternative. Not a bad choice I'd say. |

I am using a Primary Arms micro red dot with an American Defense QD riser mount. I love it and the price is right at under 200 for both. It holds zero, is durable and works as well as the Aimpoint that it is a clone of. The Aimpoint has better glass and it is whaI I would use if my rifle were going to battle but for 1/3 the cost the PA optic is great for the range and any CQB Zombie situation. https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_Arms_Micro_Dot_With_Kill_Flash_ADT1_B_p/md08adt1-10bundle.htm |

There should be a lot of info on the StrikeFire in the Vortex Optics forum found in the Industry section. I bought a few of the red/green version a few years ago and still haven't had any problems with any of them. The batteries last a long time and the auto shut off is nice (if you accidentally leave it on). Some complain about the red/green version not being bright enough on sunny days, but I don't see a problem. If the red/green version were brighter then I may use a brighter setting, but it's not a deal breaker for me. Vortex responded by offering a very bright 'red only' version. The StrikeFire is a damn fine red dot optic.
