I am trying to build a 9mm upper with the proper 1/2 door and deflector, requiring and A1 style side. Is there anyone who knows a Colt part for a flat top without the standard forged deflector? I would want it in Colt grey.

Charles...an early A1 would fit that bill...has FA but no delflector. Have you considered buying a forged upper in project form? You could then cut that ejection port where ever ya pleased...just a thought...Bud

I may well go for a rock river 9mm A4 and refinish the whole gun. Probably less hassle.

Copy that...milling off the deflector onna built upper would be a whole hellofa lot easier that starting from scratch! Pete-in-NH always has some great deals going on RRA parts...Jeff/John at CMMG are definately worth the call as well. Best to ya...Bud
