I am about to order this Vltor Clamp On GB .750, anyone has experience if this GB will have enough clearance under Troy VTAC Alpha Rail.

I'm looking to put in a DD lp clamp on gas block with a alpha rail myself (or another clamp-on style lp gas block, rather than a gas block with set screws). Did it have any clearance issues? should I just get one with set screws? |

I'm currently running a DD clamp on lo-pro gas block under a Troy Alpha 13" with no clearance issues. The only way you would run into clearance issues with either the DD or VLTOR gas block under an Alpha is if it was a flip-up front sight model and the gas block was directly under the sight. Otherwise plenty of room for either gas block. After looking again, they are just thousandths from touching..
eta: you might also WILL have issues if you try to mount a rail section under the gas block. |

Flat head screws are more prone to having the Allen socket strip out. Due to their smaller size, using the same size thread. Go with the regular socket head every time. |
