What is the difference in a high shelf lower and one that is low shelf
IE spikes st-15 and sl-15 lowers? |
|
The "shelf" is the area inside the rear of the lower reciever just under where the rear take-down pin connects. A "low shelf" reciever allows for the use of DIAS (Drop In Auto Sear) Assembly. A REGISTERED DIAS assembly, is the only LEGAL way to "make" a fully automatic AR15. Buying A REGISTERED Drop In Auto Sear Assembly costs about as much as buying an actual M16, and requires the same paperwork/taxes.
