Anybody using a set screw combination to eliminate the problem of breaking the rear ears off of your lowers when installing the trigger guard? Seems like an easy fix to me...Tap 'em and forget 'em...

It's even easier to support the ears with a piece of scrap wood before you start pounding.

Yeah. it's easier. I use an action block for all my builds, but I am going to buy a lower just to tap it for an easier build. This includes the detents....

I've never thought of the ears breaking as a "problem".
It's not an issue unless it's assembled improperly.

A person can break anything if they don't put it together correctly.
