In the event of another assault weapons ban. if i own a lower and only the lower. can i purchase a upper under the ban?

Under the text of the 94 ban the weapon had to be complete before the effective date.

Cannot speculate on what the next possible one will have in it. Might just be a carbon copy with the sunset clause taken out or might be totally new....

It all depends on the wording of the proposed legislation. Personally, Im not at all that worried about something that *might* happen with everything the government has on their plate at the moment. Beyond that, I dont believe Obama can do what he wants without the votes needed to accomplish it.

That said, pick up an upper when you get the cash. Stripped uppers are pretty cheap.

A hypothetical: What if you just slapped your lower on Cousin Barney's upper, took a photo and posted it on the internet as your date stamp. Not that anyone would do something like that.
