| Anyone know of a place to find some stripped lowers at wholesale? |
|
Guys, if you will put in the time on the computer and the telephone, there are still stripped lowers out there, and there are still some P-mags out there. You just have to hunt them down. After paying big bucks for a lower on the EE here I started looking a little harder and I have been able to buy two more stripped lowers in the last three days. One new Mega for $135 and one new RRA for $155.
Also, when you are out driving around be sure to stop buy ANY and ALL gun stores, gunsmith shops, and pawn shops. I found a couple of dealers right here on ar15.com who show to be out of stock on stripped lowers, and they will even tell you they are out of stock if you call and ask, but if you drop by in person they will sell you one. It seems as though some of them are holding a few back for local pick up. They will not tell you this on the phone. |
Ok, well fresh back from a gun show here in the midwest (Central Illinois) and I can say there are lowers out there. Saw a number of RRA for $165 as well as a bunch of DPMS for $195.......
The question is, how bad do you want them............. Talking to one dealer, he made no excuse for jacking up his prices. His arguement was he didn't know if he would be able to get anymore in, ever. I think that was more than a little BS, but who knows. Bottom line is, you can get them "today" your just gonna pay. Everything seemed elevated in price and there were more than a few "irrational" purchases driven by fear. |

Don't mind these guys, they've been hearing this story a lot! You may want to go into the Hometown forums and see if there are any stores that may be looking to get more lowers in, in a bit of time. They are still around and trickling in every so often, just gotta keep the feelers out and CALL MANY PEOPLE |
| Was at a local gun show today and there were several stripped lowers. One guy had multiple DPMS lowers and WOW are they proud of them. Even saw a DPMS .308 lower if you want to spend $575 FIRM! Same experience as post above with the guys not batting an eye at wanting $240 for lowers. They quote gunbroker values and they're not wrong. Hate to admit this at the risk of being ridiculed, but I forked over $239 bucks for a new DPMS stripped lower today, but I would have paid that and then some on gunbroker and I was looking at this one. |

I have posted this link before and I got ridiculed, but here I go again
carolina mountain tactical I bought a Frankford Arsenal lower from them and it's a fine piece. It was 199.00, so you'd expect it to be |

That is like saying that gas is not worth $4.00 a gallon. Maybe not, but we paid that 2 months ago. Lowers that are in stock are 199.00 and up. Sad fact, but that's how it is I need fuel to work, grab groceries & get the kids back & forth to functions but I don't need another, much less one at the current prices. Man, I'm glad I spent a few grand earlier this year stocking my armory! |

My personal expierence is with their M14 parts.... but no reason to think other wise. I also like the armory logo on the AR lowers!!! |

More often than not, the head honcho answers the phone when I call. Also, when I bought my M14 reciever, they sold it at the list price when my name went on the wait list (took 18 months). Got it for about $650, current list is quite higher and worth every penny. Good people! I like the fact that nobody on this site talks about them. Too concerned with a couple brands which are always out of stock or $200. Means I can always pick one up for a good price. |

Just read on another site that the LRB AR stripped receivers will not be available again until Feb. 09..... said the site still lists them but they are not accepting any more orders or even backorders.
Maybe a ploy to keep them for themselves (original poster in the thread) or they are actually sold out..??? |
