These basic slings can be found on EBay and various other .mil surplus sites. Basically a strip of nylon and two steel tri-glide/H-buckle keepers. I recall someone saying that later production substituted plastic tri-glides in place of steel. Anybody know if that's the case? All the ones I've seen so far have been steel.

Got 10 ea M4 slings in last month. Still steel hardware.
