I know their is a huge pic thread around here somewhere, and I drool everytime I stop in there.

My question for you is what type of upper would you suggest these days? I have it narrowed down to BCM,or Sabre and possibly CMMG.

When is colt going to get a 20" mil spec flat top out? I can't seem to find anything except the heavy match barrel uppers.

Thanks guys

In for some responses. I'm very interested in doing the same thing. The wait on CMMG 20" uppers makes baby jesus cry though.

This is a Sabre Defense A4 upper assembly I picked up from PK Firearms a couple of years ago. Came with the gov't profile 20" 1/7 barrel and the KAC M5 RAS already installed. Haven't seen this particular combo on their website since. (mounted on RRA lower)(Ontario Kniife USMC bayonet attached}

Note. That's a piece of wrapping paper, not  a pop tart on the couch.

Same upper I picked up, I think in early 2007.... Three days from order to my house. Miss those days.

I really really wanted to get a BCM 20" 1/7 flattop upper, but they have been unobtainium for some time and I got tired of waiting.
I found a new Colt M16A2 upper and sent it off to ADCO to have them swap the upper receiver with a CMT flattop.......perfect!

I got mine from PK Firearms last year, before Dear Leader was elected.  Got it in two days.

Bushmaster complete upper with 1/7 government profile chromed barrel, Stag lower.

It is the best finished upper I have ever bought and by far my favorite rifle of all time.  It is just "right" to me.

There was a place selling genuine Colt A4 uppers a while back.  Good luck in your search.

You can try getting ahold of Dennis Todd, he had some listed in the EE awhile back.
