Is there a tutorial on the M16s internal parts? I have read that 3 manufacturers made them, are the parts maker marked? Is there a way to tell one from the other?

This has been asked before. I haven't heard an explanation yet for Colt's letter codes. There are a couple real experts here, hopefully they will see this post and offer up an opinion.

So the Colt parts are marked? Can I assume that the H&R and Hydra-Matic parts are not?

Send an email to member PrivateSnafu. He had a demilled H&R lower that still had parts in it and they were marked.I'm sure he saved the pics.
