Does anyone know if I can fit the KAC RAS M5 on this rifle? http://www.centerfiresystems.com/AR-STAR15A3.aspx

It's an HBAR, so it's gonna depend on the profile of that particular barrel. Not all HBAR's are profiled the same.

My one and only AR. Took me a couple years to get it all together (college student), but it was worth it.

Trijicon TA31F ACOG (couldn't justify an extra couple hundred dollars for the cap retention wires and some mil lines I'd never use, and plus I got a good deal on this barely used one w/ the LT mount off the EE)
LaRue LT-100 ACOG mount
CMMG upper with 20" 1-7" government profile barrel
CMMG semi-auto carrier and bolt
KAC M5 RAS with KAC 11-rib panels and grip
Stag lower
Stag LPK (lucked out and got a real decent single stage with this; most standard AR triggers I've felt are pretty lousy)
Stag A2 buttstock
Specter Gear CST 3 point sling, w/o QR buckle

I've tried the VFG; not sold on it. With it I'm faster to get back on target, but it's easier to hold the rifle steady I find without it. Plus it feels more natural to me without it. I think I'll keep it off.

With an American classic. I'm still split on whether the M1 or the AR is my favorite rifle...

Nothing wrong with that. As long as it's built within spec, you'll be fine

It doesn't have a sear pin, and the area where the pivot pin is located is A1 profile. Also, the areas where the fire and safe markings are located aren't raised, which I know Colt is known for.

That is true, however...
1) there is no serial # on KA RASs, so you can't trace them or find out if they are stolen or not unlike an ACOG or something...
2)I believe mine is a factory blemish as it came sealed with a KA sticker but looked like the finish was worn on the tippy tip edges of the rails. Knights website offers factory seconds (blemishes) for about 1/2 price than 100% gtg ones and I dont see any reason to spend the extra $$$ when 1 week of messing around with it wears the finish a little bit.

Having said that, I would offer anyone to anyone looking for a Knights RAS to look on ebay...seriously, I paid $150 plus shipping for mine, the rails, and 4 mid length panels, 1 week later then same thing with 4 of each length of panels went for $90....and I thought I got a deal

Thousands of brand new to hardly used KAC rails hit the surplus market in early 2008.  I picked up 12 sets (rails with covers and grips) for under $300 from one auction. Only one set was used.  They even threw in a good size box of mostly unused covers and grips.  There will be even more coming soon when 45B school gets moved from Knox to Benning as I am told much will be auctioned rather than moved.  You are going to see all sorts of stuff auctioned relatively soon.

PK Firearms has complete Bushy A4 uppers with 1/7 barrels.  Buy one and sell your other parts.

Pic goes here asap since this is a picture thread.

This. Also, iirc the SMR code on the Knight's RAS is a 'Z', which means that it is 'disposable'. If one ever gets turned in for any problem it either goes in the trash or gets sent to the DRMO to get sold to the public...

I have enjoyed reading this topic and i am interested in purchasing a Sabre Defence XR15 A4 rifle. Does anyone have any views or owns one that they can give?

Also have Sabre Defence started shipping rifles as per there contract or are they still to be approved by Government Inspectors.
