The stuff that I've put together so far is highlighted in Red.

Pics as of 4-19-10 (added PK Firearms A2 stock):

Pics as of 3-23-10:

Lower:
SLR15 Defensive Edge "CY6" lower (adjustable trigger screw)
Rock River Arms LPK

A2 buttstock–– PK Firearms kit

Upper:
Flattop upper––Coming with Sabre Defense barrel
Bravo Company USA M16 BCG
Forged Charging Handle––Spike's Tactical
Sabre Defense 20" rifle barrel––Attached to upper with 1/7 twist, chrome-lined, gov't profile
Handguards––Coming with Barrel/Upper
Bushmaster Carry Handle

I also need help with sling choices for the full size here. :)  Any suggestions?
I'm spending good money on the important pieces (barrel, BCG, etc) to put together a fine rifle.

I am also working on an A4 clone. Probably with a few mods, though.

I should have this one done by the end of the week.  I'm just waiting on shipments. :)  I still need to find a good sling, though.  I do like the solid A2 stock better than the collapseables, though.

Awesome... I love the M16A4's... here's a pic of mine!

It needs a couple of finishing details like the mag pouch on the stock and the bayonet. But I'm saving up for an ACOG to throw on it right now... so it will probably be a little while before I get those things to complete it!

As soon as I get the funds I'm hopefully going to build myself an A4 clone. And yours is coming along nicely!

A true A4 will be on a blue couch or a cool wooden fence.

..as blue as it gets for me...and it is too dark outside for a fence shot.

I pieced the lower together. As far as the upper, It is believed to be a pre-m16A4 spec flattop upper from Colt...noting the carry handle forge mark, carry handle/upper rail interface, non "F" FSB, and flashhider with 45` offset flats from vertical...estimated age is early 1990's-ish...No I dont want to get a "modern one"...I would rather buy other guns until M16A4 parts are more readily available.

I'm having a hard time justifying the expense of that railed handguard just for the look...I wouldn't use the handgrip and really have no need for the tac-ons so I'm staying with the stock A2 handguards for now...so I guess this makes it an A3?...Oh well I'm good with that!

Yeah I posted this pic before...but she's still a looker

Ummm no it's not an A3.You still have an A4 my friend. You don't have to have the KAC rails to make it an A4.

A4 is flat top with 3 round burst.

A4 MWS (modular weapon system) is the A4 w/ RAS.

My three round burst is my trigger finger...oh well no cam but at she don't eat as much! Thanks for the clarification...I always thing of the civi-spec SA rifle as an A3...or a flat top A2. Either way, it is what it is...a semi-auto AR-15 type rifle...I really didn't set out to copy a GI weapon, rather a quality rifle with reliability as my goal.
