Since I was informed by Mongo that 6.8mm spc is almost as rare as the Shrike, it looks as if my next build will be a 5.56 one.  The M193 seems to have a good track record out of carbine length barrels and all so Ill stick with it.

Any recomendations for M193 components (as Im sure loaded ammo is expensive)?

Also since the bullet is a bit longer (IIRC) then the M855 (or is it M885?) is there anything I need to modify as far as the feed ramp is concerned to get it to work properly?

Thanks

Go to Midway USA.  Do a search under reloading components for 55 FMJ.  You'll find what you need in terms of bullets.  Get a reloading manual, find some loads that match M193 velocity.  Buy the rest of the components listed on the manual (primers and powder).  Go shoot.

BTW, the SS109 bullet used in M855 is the longer one of the two.  By a large margin.

Oh, and IBTL
