Anyone care to lend their opinion on the Elcan 1/4?
I just picked up a Block II upper and might be looking to put one on it. |

I've read so many forum threads on it they're all starting to blend together. |

View Quote They look cool and that’s ALL that matters. Also, if you top mount an MRDS all you have to do is roll the rifle to the left like you would for an offset dot. The MRDS dot will appear in your left eye. I can LARP way faster doing that than chin welding it. |

Members with only a few posts have to have their photos approved by longer-term users before they will show up. I don’t know what that magic number of posts is. And Imgur’s links aren’t just links to your photos; they’re to your album, so they’re problematic. ARFCOM’s forums will take your input when you use the image button (the typical little mountain picture at the top), but the link doesn’t go to a picture, so all we get to see is a little empty box. Since I don’t use Imgur, I really don’t know how to do a real “just this picture” link from them |

Just ordered my Peq. Now the question is… Which is more correct? I have a SF M600 light and soon to be Peq. So should I use the SF dual tape switch or mod an Insight switch to work with the M600? I’m not sure if I can see “in the wild” guys cutting and soldering plugs on issues switches.

I’m piecing together a non fsp build with my razor. Any opinions on front grips? So far leaning towards a magpul afg or tangodown stubby. I’m comfortable with both, but is one more “correct” than the other? Other suggestions?

By ordered, I meant found a guy with some like new, lightly used units on the grey market. On a side note, I found my own answer. https://soldiersystems.net/2016/09/15/surefire-scout-lights-now-authorized-for-usaf-use/

Someone local is selling a complete colt socom upper with a non fsp ris ii. The fsp was shaved for the rail to fit. Is this appropriate? Reading that a socom barrel is really for a fsp, while government is for non fsp. Seems backwards to me. Anything I should worry about or consider?

Reading that a socom barrel is really for a fsp, while government is for non fsp. Seems backwards to me. Anything I should worry about or consider? View Quote SOCOM barrel is really about the barrel: the slightly thicker profile, being chrome-lined, and it has a reputation for being unusually accurate, relative to its' cost and availability, therefore its desirability. The FSP is icing on the cake, if you want an FSP. not in a clone context, for some folks, the FSP is a drawback, because one of the set screws for a low-profile gas block goes right near one of the residual grooves from the taper pin. So the SOCOM barrel is also available without the FSP, without the residual taper-pin grooves, although not as widely available. again, not in a clone context, shaved FSP is frequently regarded as best low-profile gas block. firmly attached, truly bomb-proof installation. |

They must've changed/updated them during production as there are some slight differences to the one I had. |
