Hi Again..

I'm building a M4 type rifle..

so far I have the following parts...

PSA M4 Upper

PSA Lower and PSA LPK

Primary Arms Quad Rail and Covers

PSA Collapsible Stock

I'm not sure what to use for the following..

Scope or Sights

BUIS

Sling and Sling Adapters

Vert Grip

I'm really just going for the basic M4 or M4A1 look..

Any advise would be appreciated

Thanks Again, Joe

I dont like vert grips, id check out the magpul angled foregrip (feels more natural) although i dont run one of those either. as for the sights, i would run a flip-up front sight and a flip up backup rear sight, with an eotech or aimpoint or ACOG, OR you can just run a carry handle and a flip-up or screw on front sight. (sorry if that was confusing, i suck at explaining things) lol

I would suggest learning with iron sights first. Once you find yourself good with them, move on to optics such as a red dot.

Thanks Guys,

The upper already has a standard front sight on it...

I have a small US Rifle collection starting with a 1884 Springfield Trapdoor on up to a m16A1 Retro that I built..

I figure a M4 is next in line.. I want it to  look authentic without going crazy..

Thanks, Joe

Just to add..

It's a flat top upper (although I do have a carry handle)

I also like to accessorize so any suggestions there would be appreciated also..

the Issue M-4 has a KAC quad rail, I know you are mainly going for looks and trying to save some money so I believe the rail you have purchased will look right.
as far as optics go we are issued either an aimpoint comp M2 or comp M4,  I believe a PRO looks pretty much the same as the M2.  Or also an ACOG is standard issue.  EoTechs while sometimes used are not standard issue and are only used the unit purchase.

as far as the sling we are issued just a standard black nylon sling, we do use the side mount front sling mount.

I believe the BUIS is also a KAC but I am not positive on that.

Also we do not use the carry handles at all as we have the BUIS and the carry handle is pretty much pointless other than having it mount the rear sight.

The rear sight is Matech.
The rail is KAC with KAC rail covers, and KAC VFG.....I know you have your rail already but if you want to hide that its not the correct rail you can get just the rail covers and VFG and it will look pretty good  Check the EE for all of these things including the rear sight....they are all cheap there.

Didnt realize I was correcting you when I answered
but looking back you said you were unsure anyways so you didnt give out bad info
The Block II or CQBR M4's actually use the KAC rear sights, so you werent entirely wrong anyways!

OP be careful looking at the Sopmod block II M4's, or the Mk18 (CQBR).  If you find yourself in those clone threads you will be heading down a very expensive and dark road

Good Advice..  I'm trying not to get too carried away with this .. I just want a good representation of what our guys have been using after the M16A2..

I'll probably go with the Matech BUIS..  Not too sure yet about the Optic...

Yea it is fun to get carried away though

You pretty much have two options for a good looking clone, as far as the optics go.
Trijicon TA01NSN
Aimpoint Comp M2, could also use the PRO, but its not accurate as far as the clone-but looks the same.

I would look for either of these used on the EE for a good price.
I actually have bought both of these optics that way, and have been happy with them.
