I've got to get Eagle's new M4 case.  That thing is way cool.

What about one of those starlight(name??) cases that you can cut out the foam to make it customized?

The Galati's are good to go seeing that you are going for a soft case.

Also check cheaper than dirt, they have a Leapers Bag that is a great discrete carry bag.  I have one and love it.  It is about 50 bucks

I have an Eagle case for my AR which I highly recomend and I also have a Galati Range bag which is built really well.  Either one you choose you will be happy with.

Leapers(UTG/Under the Gun) also makes some carbine cases which I have never used but seem to be built pretty good and are also designed really well.  Delta Force catalog sells them for $40-$50.  I'm going to get one when I finish my new build.  Good Luck

The TacForce cases- no, they don't have a blue stripe and blue script embrodering- are very nice bags.  www.savvysurvivor.com is where I got mine.  ADCO sells one version/size in Black.

Another vote for the Eagle Discreet Rifle Case.  I love mine.

Tactical Tailor makes a similar case that's also worth a look.  I have one of those as well.

The 38" Elite Covert Gun Case is a sweet deal.  I can fit an underfolder AK and my M4 in the case and also carry a suppressed Walther P22 and a buttload of .22mags in one case.

The case is of VERY high quality and can be wore as a backpack with padded shoulder straps.  Cant beat the $40 price tag.

It looks like a musicians keyboard case.

+1 on the TacForce.  I was so happy with the one I bought for my AR, I bought a second one for my bolt gun.

I had a Gallati, but I gave it away.  The D-rings, straps, and zippers were cheazy.  I was very dissapointed.  I can not recommend them.

Check out the Allen "assault rifle" cases on Midway.  They are only like $30 but get great reviews.

+1 on the TAC FORCE case I have on for my AR and my 870 and love it. Great bag reasonably priced.

A.  Stag .223rem/5.56 M4gery.  Usually has optic C or D attached.

B.  Stag dedicated .22LR.  I built the dedicated upper using one of Rick Kuehl's M4 type barrels.

C.  Trijicon TA-31F ACOG

D.  EOTech 511 Rev. F

The above case is a Pelican 1700.  I got it cheap without the foam and bought some closed cell foam that doesn't retain moisture.  I have several Starlight cases as well and I feel that they are of better quality, but I got this case for a song.  If you want a "traveling" case for airplanes, then I definately recommend a case like Pelican or Starlight.

I've had a Galati case for somewhere over 10 years, and has held up very well to countless range trips.  Good case.

the tac force is exactly like that eagle case pictured after my reply, except the nylon handles don't appear to be as soft and flexible and the triple-double mag pouch goes in the outside compartment and is removable and the strap from the case can be used to hang it across your shoulders if you wanna go rambo style.

Got a decent allen soft case from cheaperthandirt.com.  It was about $20 bucks and serves my needs well.

I second that on the Uncle Mike's cases, got them for my AKs and AR. Great quality, lots of padding, and low price.

Ive got two Galati's and an Uncle Mikes.  Both are good soft side cases.  I use the Uncle Mikes for the M4gery and the 35 Galati for my AKs.  The longer Galati is for my 20" A2.

I would recommend the Uncle Mikes for the M4 because it's smaller and has more of a rectangular shape instead of the tapered gun-like shape on the Galati.  It's cheaper too.

I have the one pictured on top:

If it's a hard case you are talking about, then my vote is Pelican:

+1 on the Tac-Force case.  Aside from the stupid name it's a fantcastic case actually, and a great price point.

Another bonus, if you purchase one a little larger than the smaller M4 size case you can actually use it for more than one, as the outer pocket can hold a rifle as well.

I purchased a 40" for my AR10 and my M$ fits very comfortably in the outer pocket.  Makes range trips easy and less baggage.  Just something to think about.

I have 2 Galati Carbine Cases and feel they are terrific

I would however recommend the 37 inch model - even for your M4gery

The top of the heap- soft cases-wise?

That is the i-shot. I don't have one, but would definitely consider it for my 'next' one
