Sorry if this ends up a dumb question,....but I need to know!
I'm going to change over some barrels here in the near future,...and want to go with an M4 barrel on one of current carbines,...I might be over complicating this,..but how can I identify the receiver has the needed M4 relief cut,..and is it actually needed to safely run an M4 barrel? Thanks in advance & go easy on me!!

It's not needed for the upper to have the cuts to run an M4 barrel.
I'm sure someone will come along shortly with the pics of the M4 reciever cuts.
