This company is illusive as hell. Anyway somehow, which is beyond my grasp of understanding, I recently lost the rail clamp of my MATECH when I moved into my new apartment . Does anyone here have any idea where I could find a replacement? Im guessing since this sight is pretty much limited to military, a true replacement will be hard to find, but is it possible to fit a clamp from another sight? If anyone knows anything that may help me id be very appreciative.

This is something that has happened to a lot of people with no good resolution.  I guess that's what happens when you use a sight that is not really for open civvie sale.

I have a couple, and I like them a lot, but good luck getting replacement parts unless you're .mil.

Mine broke from overtightening.  You cant get parts from matec!  I would have chose another buis if I had known.  There is a guy, username mongo001 who can make them.  He said his equipment is down right now, but he will make some when he can.  IM him and get on his list.  Your welcomeChuck

Thanks alot for the information, and the quick responses. Luckily I love this sight enough to go through all the trouble for it.

Get in touch with LWRC. They have MATECH BUIS in stock.

I got a couple new matech sights for sale but no extra clamps.  I've only ever had one extra clamp and it sold very quickly.

These are the only weak part of the design.  Very solid BUIS over all.

Which branch is using it in the military?

Retail price?

Definitely the Army, not sure about others.  It's not for normal retail sale to civilians.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that they are only issuing it to troops deployed in Afghanistan. The problem with this theory though is that the National Guard armory near where I live has tons of them lying around. Although I don’t believe anyone I know who has been deployed to Iraq used the MATECH. Just some useless information Oh and Phoebus thanks for the e-mail, I'm going to see if I can DX it, or get a new piece ordered.

I used the MaTech on my last two Iraq tours.

If your .mil you can order the new improved locking bar and screw. See your unit armorer, he should have the details. If not, consult PS magazine.

Like I said, if your currently in the military then see your unit armorer, he should have the info needed for ordering the parts. (PS Magazine for Army service members).

Not military? Then I guess you have to come up with an alternate.

I was just curious about what the PS magazine is, thanks anyway for (sort of) answering my question.

Incidentally, 15+ years in the Air Force; not in the type of occupation one would normally be issued an M4 though, but I do have one mounted on my privately-owned rifle.
