The AR10 was originally built by JP over a year ago, and then I changed a bunch of stuff: added the Magpul, added the PRI tube, replaced the trigger with a WOA 2-stage, had the barrel threaded, and finally added the MIAD. It regularly shoots 0.5-0.75 MOA groups with Federal match. I use it primarily for long range stuff in our monthly Sporting Rifle match in Raton NM. (which you should come shoot with us!) Regarding the M93A2/M93R.. the stocks and body units themselves are all M93A-generation which haven been on those guns for a long time. I just added the A2 reinforcement brackets. I had an incident at a recent 3Gun match which poignantly demonstrated their need, so I didn't delay in upgrading all of them. ETA: I do like Magpul products. They are some of the best thought out and executed gear available. Modular components, like the XT panels and the MIAD, allow the creation of a type of "digital" camo: [ link to LARGER image ]EETA: The coloring on the M93A2 brackets was done myself using Norrells Moly Resin. They come black. -z |
| New gear will most likely be at Shot Show. Anyone know what the new Magpul stock will be called, M93BR, ect? I saw some mod accessory/mission specific, design ideas on what was referred to as the M93B on another thread but haven't heard anything since. Anyone have any news to leak? Is there a buttstock sling swivel option yet? |

The currently-shipping generation of Magpul stocks is named the M93A2: www.bizplaces.com/magpul/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=9311a FWIW Here are some rear sling options, e.g. for a 3 point sling: [ link to LARGER image ] [ link to LARGER image ] |

How's the size of the MIAD (with the beavertail) compared to an ErgoGrip? I really like the front to back thickness of the ErgoGrip, but it could actually be a little wider. TangoDown was far too skinny for me and I ditched mine after 15 minutes of playing straight out of the box... Thanks |
The MIAD with the medium backstrap is very close to the ErgoGrip, but it's a little wider at the front and back. I've converted all my EGs to medium MIADs. The small backstrap MIAD is about the same front-back as the TD and A2, but it's wider in the "body" of the grip. |
Got some new pics today.. finally some nice weather! [ link to LARGER image ] [ link to LARGER image ] [ link to LARGER image ] [ link to LARGER image ] [ link to LARGER image ] [ link to LARGER image ] |

Each data point is: range in yards; MOA to dial; inches windage for 10mph wind (90 degree). [ link to LARGER image ]Most guys have a nice print-out that they laminate. I made this up real quick after confirming my data at our last Sporting Rifle Match in Raton The data was right on. Guessing the wind was hard. -z |
Where did you get the stock adaptor? It is the best I have seen so far. |
Sometimes they are very sneaky - our comms dude was using the shotty as a personal gun instead of his C8 so we wanted to give him the benifit of a bit more reach... Plus I thought I looked pretty cool with it. My beard was just starting to grow in and I was goign for the ruggedly handsome look It is the A1 CH that Gif got done through Justin at CNC - it rocks - my other is with a buddy in Afghan - not a problem at all. Stoavk adaptor is/was done by a Canadian - however I understand in talking to him he is no longer do it due to some BS from FN abotu their prior art on AR15 mounts for shotguns and M249's etc... |
