So I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this question but I have this BUIS:

Now, I have this on an AR-15 attached to the rear-est possible spot on the rail. It has a fixed forged A2 style front sight. (The bunny ears, etc) Now, the BUIS doesn't have elevation and I understand there's a tool to adjust the elevation for the front sight but I guess my question is; Assuming the windage is lined up correctly, can I assume my BUIS is sighted in or some what sighted in?

I have my primary optic sighted in (zeroed at 100y) and the BUIS I have to admit is just slapped on. Does anyone have any insight on this? As you can tell I have little experience with BUIS'

Be sure to put some blue loctite on the mounting screw before sighting it in. Should be a rough zero but shoot it to make sure.

They do make a little tool to adjust the front sight post, but you can just use a bullet tip to push in the little pin, then turn the post until you got it. The BUIS shound be pretty close out-of-the-box. You should definitely be on paper (somewhere

) at 50yds.

It ought to be on paper at 100, but even only a few thousandths of an inch difference would change your zero dramatically, I would think.

Better to re-zero. Just hope the world doesn't fall apart before you make it to the range.
