I've got a YHM 2pc HG on my M4 right now... but I want to build a new upper.

I want a 4 rail free float HG (I know la rue's are supposed to be the best, but I hear they are hard to install) I saw the 2pc free floater from MI and thought it might be a little easyer to put on.

Are these any good? What do people who own them think of em? Thanks!!! Dave

for easy install FF rails, i recommend the GG&G modular. They attach quickly and are infinitely customizable. here's mine:

Nothing special about the GG&G.  All the two-piece free-float rails install very easy because they clamp around the barrel nut eliminating the need to remove the pinned FSB.  You will need to remove the delta ring assembly however.  This can be accomplished by cutting, or unscrewing the barrel from the upper receiver.

GG&G is quality, but one of the heaviest as compared to the offerings by Midwest Industries, Troy Industries, and Samson.  The GG&G also uses proprietary rail covers which make it more of a pain in the ass.

I'm an MI guy because I can't beat the price

The MI is a very good unit.  LaRue isn't really hard, but it does require adapting an action block.

Does anyone have any pictures of how you cut-off the delta ring?

Somebody posted some pics in a thread not long ago, but I can't remember who or in what thread.
