Per the subject, I am being offered MK262 MOD1 ammunition in the packaging seen below. I am only familiar with the this round in the typical red Black Hills box. Therefore, I am wanting the forum to identify the packaging/contents before I plunk down a decent bit of coin on this round. Forgive me but I have little to no experience with this round. http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu125/986S/C04D0C7B-8818-42ED-8666-8E1E95FDAFE0_zpspkg6m70s.jpg Your input is greatly appreciated. Thank you! I have never seen that particular packaging but the "BLH10" prefix lot number indicates that ammunition was manufactured by Black Hills Ammunition (BHA) in 2010. Lacking the proper "MK 262 MOD 1 AA53" markings, only BHA can tell you what that particular loading is. I would think it is something similar to the AMU MATCH loading. The older AMU MATCH loads used a non-cannelured 77GR. SMK OTM bullet. But after some testing, BHA decided there was little if any real-world accuracy advantage to using the non-cannelured 77GR. SMK bullet. So further MATCH/AMU loads were to use the same 77GR. SMK OTM cannelured bullet as the MK 262 MOD 1 AA53 load. I don't know when the change was effected. HTH At last count, BHA has made well over a dozen different 77GR. SMK loads thru the years. Here are a few including early mil-spec MK 262 MOD 0/1 AA53 & AMU loadings. Many people refer to any 77GR. SMK OTM load manufactured by BHA as "MK 262" but that it NOT the case. The 77GR. SMK AMU load shown is approximately 79 FPS slower than the 77GR. MK 262 but the AMU load is 0.1 to 0.3 MOA more accurate from the accurized 18" AR15/M16 I use.

Very interesting that it is in a 30 round box.
Is it possible to show the contents ? As well as the headstamp ? I suspect it might be on 10rd stripper clips. Also if you don't mind sharing ... how much per box ? If the price is appropriate... I would be very tempted ..... |

MK262 Razorcore comes in 20 round boxes. |

True, but BH typically uses 50 or 20 round boxes, hence bfoosh06's comment about it being interesting. At least, that's how I took his post. Quoted:

I wonder if this was a other 3 letter agency contract.... since the nomenclature is surprisingly brief and simplistic. |
