Which should I get?

I'd say to go with the ML3 2MOA... Better battery life (not that it really needs it) and, more importantly, it'll work better with the 3x magnifier if you ever decide to get it down the road.

Thanks anyone else care to chime in?

AFAIAK the 2 series will serve you just fine.  and it will be cheaper...as some people will be offloading theirs to upgrade.

That was my thinking but I was just wondering if the M3 had any features that made it better than the M2 esides battery life also I don't plan on swimming with mr AR anytime soon lol

3 upgrades as far as i know

choice of a 2 MOA dot.
deeper water resistance
longer battery life

but these upgrades by no means make the 2 series obsolete.

The ML3 comes with a condom for safe shooting.

LOL at Sovereign!

TNDude: it's all a matter of preference I guess.  Seems to me the biggest difference between the two is the size of the dot.  If you would like to be able to do a little more precise shooting with the aimpoint then go for the 3, otherwise there's not a dang thing wrong with the 2.

How much $$$ you have?  Decide if you're clumsy or lazy and leave your things turned on all the time, drop them in the toilet etc...

2moa - all your rounds should be within the dot at your zeroed range

4moa - all of your rounds will be within the dot for a larger zeroed range

As an ML2 owner, I'd like a 2moa ML3, but I won't throw away mine even after I get a 3.  Not that anybody would want it with paint on it

Still debating I like the idea of a 2 MOA dot  but then again I'm not trying to do precision shooting with a 14.5 barrel lol

If it wouldn't kill you $$$ wise and it's your first aimpoint I'd go for the ML3.

eta - if you don't like it you could always do a trade plus cash for an ML2 on the EE overnight I would expect.

Thanks I really appreciate all the suggestions trying to figure out now if I have enough money to get in on that group buy... Being a college student sucks
