I recently purchased a custom made M-4. It is a 5.56 cal.
The lower receiver says "CAL MULTI" No markings on the barrel.
I assume I can just change uppers and change the caliber. Is this correct?
What makes this different than other M-4's on the market that are marked with one specific cailber? Can changing uppers on these also change calibers? If so, why aren't they mark "cal multi"
Thanks for you help on this guys.

Simply put, the caliber markings on the lower don't really mean anything, and some lowers, as you've noticed, are marked "Multi" while others have no marking for caliber at all.

That is correct.
