That's my concern. I've ordered from a few new places lately , and I also recently had my credit card compromised. I just would like someone to confirm this company is legit before I spend anymore money on a new website. Hopefully someone is out there that an chime in with some good news.

| Like others have said. I've ordered a ton of waterfowl and other hunting gear from them over the years. Their CS is second to none, prices are competitive most of the time, and they ship in a timely manner. I ordered some ammo today as well even though it says "pre-order". I figure given my history with Mack's that I really have nothing to fear even if that means waiting a while for them to get the ammo in. |

Ordered 1000 or .Federal 223 last month. Had it in 5 days. It came in an ammo can that wasn't listed in the ad. I ordered another 1000 which was listed in the ad as a "pre-order" on the web site. The order confirmation showed scheduled delivery in 2-3 weeks. They only accept backorders if they have a shipment due in. Had another order for 1000 rounds that became sold out about the time I submitted it. Got an out of stock email followed up by a phone call the next morning offering to cancell my order or substitute.
I would say it is good service. |

Ive ordered some decoys and other waterfowl gear from them and have never had a problem.
No rush on the backorder, either. The way I figure, if it takes 3 months to ship I will have a nice suprise at 855 for half of what it is locally. And who knows, I have a few backorders out with a company for wolf at $90/case shipped. If it ever ships I will be VERY happy with the backorder |

Yea I called em and they said the backorders are cancelled and theyll be refunding my money. Im trying hard not to believe its a price gouging issue . Either way i wont be ordering from. If they have already charged your card or w/e for the price, then cancel and then in turn raise the price....Dont they legally have to provide you the "benefit of the bargain"???
If they send all of us cancellation notices, we should ALL call tomorrow and start a ruckous. Surely they would figure out that people wont take this lightly? |

Surely they would figure out that people wont take this lightly? legally i would say no. as long as monies are refunded. ethically yes. all we can do is shake our heads and roll our eyes. this happened to me before when i immediately ordered iostat for about $7 when fukushima happened. next day my order was cancelled and my $ refunded. the price had skyrocked to over $200. its now back to the normal price of course. im fine to wait this all out but still disappointed. whether its macks decision or federals i dont know. if i owned macks i would certainly make it right somehow with all the people who placed pre orders for m855 |
| Just called and it was confirmed (after they sent me an email confirming my order) that it was indeed cancelled. My cc was hit with a hold they said but it will not be charged and the hold will disappear now that the order has been cancelled. So I will wait and see and keep an eye on it but I too am very disappointed. First dealing with them and probably my last. I was on hold with customer service for a long time before I got a live voice. |

I've ordered a ton of duck hunting stuff from them and have never had a problem.
Then again, I have never ordered anything from them in the wake of a destructive election, a mass-shooting, and rumors of a new assault weapon ban - but they sure did ship my shotgun shells and waders and other clothes super quick last year. |

Yea call back today. Now they will tell you that its cancelled with no option of hold over or anything like that. I never got an email and first call said backorder, it just changed as of now. So essentially they could market something right under a free shipping quota, get you to order a whole bunch of tagalong items, and then cancel the main order and you are stuck with a gun case and brick of .22.
Screw this company. There are plenty more that would at least ATTEMPT to make this right. |

Yes I got order confirmation before hand. I went to check status and the shipping status said cancelled. I got on live chat and Jackie told me that Federal backed out....but who knows.
First time trying them! No cancelled phone call or email. I had to initiate the conversation. |

Nope I agree but why would Federal back out? Maybe I just don't understand the whole pre order thing. I figured Mack's had already placed the order with Federal and wouldn't post it on site unless their order had been confirmed.
But with other people giving them positive reviews in past I guess we should give Macks the benefit of doubt. |

Dont waster your time ordering.. I ordered the Federal 300rd bulk pack for $119 and had to order something else to get free shipping.. looked around the site and I could come up with was a under Armour beannie for $24 that I didnt need.... Received the Beanie today and an email notice stating they had cancelled my Ammo order.
I called CS to get a free return shipping label back for the Beannie - didnt need it and I want my $24 back now.. Sh stated that they had cancelled all orders on the Federal 300 bulk pack and that the last order that went out was on 12/11/12 - when she had a complaint from someone that had orderded 50 boxes of the 300 bulk pack but he only received 27... she stated he was really upset... Hell I just wanted one box...geez |

Bad business to promise something and not deliver I'm not that upset about not getting the product but it's wrong to charge me before they even have the product in stock. They shouldn't charge until it's ready to ship. |

This place is full of BS! I emailed them about my refund and how soon it would be put back in my account since they took it out as soon as I placed the order and this was their reponse-
