While shooting/testing a 10rd magazine (for deer hunting) today, I found that the last (10th) round in the mag was stripped at some point during firing of the 9th round.  The mag is a no-name, no markings or brand emblems of any kind and has a green follower.  After pulling the trigger and firing round 9, the bolt locks to the rear and the 10th round is laying loose inside the upper receiver.  Happened every time I used this mag today.  It's new and this is the first outing with it where I emptied it during function testing.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?  Should I replace the follower?

Take that mag, throw it in the trash where it belongs, and buy quality magazines for your rifle.

The Good:

D&H 20 and 30
Okay / Colt / NHMTG 30
Center (fit issues in tight magwells)
NHMTG / Colt 20
Pmags (some fit issues in tight magwells)
Bushmaster
Brownell's
Labelle
Sanchez (replace spring and add green follower)
Coopers with right number of welds (same treatment as Sanchez)
Cproducts (work for me)

The Bad:

Coopers with too few welds/out of spec bodies

The Ugly:

Western
USA Magazines
Triple K
National
Pro Mag

Stick the mag in the rifle with one round in it and open the bolt rapidly while looking into the ejection port. You might see what it is doing and how to cure it.
