Gentlemen, I am wanting to purchase some 20 round straight USGI and 30 round std USGI mags for my new EagleArms/ArmaLite carbine.  Being that I am more familiar with mags for my '14, and know how to ID USGI from others, I have to ask how can this be done with AR mags?  Thanks for your help.

stampings on the mag body or the floor plate itself

+1

Many floor plates are just private labeling (ours included).
Per USGI requirements, USGI mags will have CAGE Code and date/month stamped into the mag body.
