Let's see if anyone can ID a couple of mags I recently traded for. Both are in sealed plastic bags, with an NSN number on the outside of the bag. However, no contract name or other writing (besides caliber 5.56) is on the plastic bag. Mag appears to be standard USGI and has a black follower, but the floorplate is blank. Any ideas? |

If you push down the follower, does it have a number stamped inside on the side (RHS)? My Colt (UI) GI mags have various numbers inside (2, 7, 8, 9, 11 for the first 5 I just looked at), but they do have the floorplate with the stamping on. Not sure what this number represents but it might help someone ID your mags. Only my UI mags have this number. |

You could post a couple of pics so we could have a look or you could try: Troy's magazine FAQ I ain't being a smart-ass when I say Troy seems to know all - he does for real! Happy magazining! |
