has anybody got a way to shape older 30 rd mags back into good, working shape? i have a few that have small dents in the center and it slows the follower down. any ideas? i'd hate to throw them away. |

Dented mags can sometimes be repaired, depending on where the dent is and how bad it is. Mags with damaged feedlips are really not repairable. You need to find a way to pound out the dents. If you can find a piece of 3/4" solid square stock, you can clamp a length of that to something solid and use that on the inside of the mag as your "anvil" while you hammer on the outside with a soft-faced hammer. -Troy |
