has anybody got a way to shape older 30 rd mags back into good, working shape?

i have a few that have small dents in the center and it slows the follower down.

any ideas?

i'd hate to throw them away.

Dented mags can sometimes be repaired, depending on where the dent is and how bad it is.  Mags with damaged feedlips are really not repairable.

You need to find a way to pound out the dents.  If you can find a piece of 3/4" solid square stock, you can clamp a length of that to something solid and use that on the inside of the mag as your "anvil" while you hammer on the outside with a soft-faced hammer.
